Overview
Commissioned artwork is custom work created specifically for you. Because artist time is reserved and used the moment work begins, refunds are handled in stages depending on how far the commission has progressed.
Before Work Begins
If you cancel before the artist has started sketching, you’re entitled to a full refund of any deposit — minus any non-refundable payment processing fees charged by the payment provider.
During The Sketch Stage
If you cancel after the initial sketch is delivered but before line/colour work begins, up to 50% of the total is retained to cover the artist’s time. The unspent balance is refunded.
After Line Work Or Colouring Begins
Once line work or colouring has started, the commission is considered mostly complete. Refunds at this stage are generally not available; however, we will always finish the piece and work with you through the included revisions.
Situations Not Eligible For A Refund
- Change of mind after final delivery.
- Requests for a completely different concept after approval of the sketch.
- Failure to respond to revision requests within 30 days of the last update.
- Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us.
Revisions Instead Of Refunds
Most concerns are best solved with revisions. Every service comes with a defined revision window during the sketch and line stages — please use them. We’d much rather adjust the piece than see you unhappy with the result.
Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are issued through the original payment method within 7–10 business days. Bank and card networks may take a few extra days to reflect the refund on your statement.
